New Developments in an Unsolved Mystery of Lauren Spierer!

Lauren Spierer has been missing for 12 years, and her mother is still awaiting answers about what happened to her daughter. No one has been arrested, and her body has not been found. What happened to Lauren despite around 800 tips and 10 search warrants is still unknown.

This June 3rd saw 12 years of Lauren missing with no information. Her mother, Charlene, posted on Facebook about how June 3rd is not just a reminder about her disappearance but also that she is awaiting justice.

According to her mother’s letter, any other college student may have experienced the same thing because they all think they are indestructible. She added that since the case’s inception, there have been a ton of lies, and someone has been waiting for the ideal opportunity to harm her kid.

Her article also contained a plea for the criminal, urging them to divulge the information they have been withholding over the past 12 years. Her final statement in her article stated that she would continue to investigate what happened to her daughter on June 3, 2011.

On June 3, 2011, Lauren was last seen strolling around downtown Bloomington.

Who was Lauren Spirere?

When Lauren vanished on June 3, 2011, she was a 20-year-old Indiana University student. She would have turned 31 this year because she was born on January 17. After graduating from Edgemont High School in 2009, she relocated to Bloomington to enroll in a Fashion Merchandising course.

After moving from New York to Indiana, she stayed in a Smallwood Plaza apartment that is now called The Avenue on College, located in downtown Bloomington.    

Spirere had a boyfriend, Jesse Wolfe, whom she met years earlier at Camp Towanda, a summer camp. She also met his friends and other future Indiana University students who became her close friends when she joined the university in 2009.

What Happened to Lauren Spierer?

It was June 2, 2011, when Lauren was drinking with her friends, She was out with her friends and was talking to her boyfriend over messages till he went to sleep. As per the witnesses, Spierer was highly intoxicated and also had drugs.

She had used narcotics before, and nine months prior to her abduction, she had been arrested. The cops also found a tiny amount of cocaine in her room after she vanished. The claims that their daughter was a drug addict and inebriated the night of her disappearance, however, were rejected by her parents.

The police put out a timeline of her disappearance using the video and testimony from witnesses.  According to the police, she left her room after watching the NBA 2011 playoffs and drinking wine with her friends. She was going out to a party around 12.30 a.m. with David Rohn, her friend, on June 3 2011.  

Lauren and David went to Jay Rosenbaum’s room, where she met Cory Rossman, Jay’s neighbor and Michael Beth, Cory’s roommate. The four of them and Lauren partied all night at different places. 

According to the video footage, she was seen entering Kilory’s Sports Bar at 1:46 a.m. Her shoes and phone were still at the bar when she departed at 2:27 a.m. with Rossman. Ross accompanied her as she made her way to her apartments while she was barefoot on the patio covered in sand.

At 2:30 a.m., she is seen leaving for her apartment as Zach Oakes, a bystander, inquires about her well-being. She also reached the fifth floor where she lived and met four more male students. Rossman fought with one of the male students and was hit on the head.

Lauren was later seen leaving her apartments at 2:48 AM and entering the alley between Morton Street and College Avenue. The cameras over there saw her exiting at 2:51 AM, walking towards an empty lot. Authorities found her purse and keys on the street.

Spierer is seen stumbling when Rossman carries her, and they reach his apartments. Michael Beth was at Rossman’s apartments, and since Rossman was intoxicated, he vomited and went upstairs.

According to Michael, he made Rossman sleep and asked Lauren to stay there for her safety, but she refused and decided to go back to her apartment. At 3.30 a.m Beth asked his neighbor to take care of Lauren. Lauren, however, continued to drink and later went with his neighbor. 

His neighbor said he saw bruises below her eye; however, she didn’t remember how she got them. Spierer called twice from that neighbor’s phone to her friends, but nobody answered, and she left around 4.30 a.m., the last time she was seen.

Who Reported Her Missing?

Hours later, Spierer’s boyfriend, Wolff, messaged her, but instead, an employee from the Sports Bar replied, and that is how she was reported missing. She was dressed in a white shirt and black leggings. Before going missing, she was last seen at the corner of College Avenue and 11th Street.

Where is Lauren Spierer?

The authorities searched for nine days but found nothing. They also linked the case to a murder that happened in 2015 of an IU student who visited the same bar, but no results. They worked on many tips and leads but reached no end.

There are many theories that she was kidnapped by the motorcycle gang, drug overdose coverup and even dumping her body in the Ohio River by the people who she was partying with. However, none have solid evidence or proof.

There has been no arrest made so far in Lauren’s case, and she is presumed dead. However, the parents are waiting to hear what happened to her to get closure.
